This is another of my favorites. As you may have guessed, it is about a hunting accident and what happens after.
Old Sam Hendershot and his old Beagle Rusty are out checking their fence when the accident happens.
Matthew Cullison accidentally shoots Sam and then intentionally shoots Rusty. He tells no one what had happened but later he’ll wish that he had.
