This morning, when I went into the post office to mail some books, I had the post master pay me a compliment.
He said that he found my characters endearing, that I had a way of making my readers care about them.
That made me feel pretty darn good about my writing. I think that is what all writers must aspire to, to have endearing, memorable characters.
